BRITISH FILM SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE DOMINATES
THE GOLDEN GLOBES AND CRITICS’ CHOICE AWARDS
SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE won big in the US last night taking four prestigious Golden Globe awards for Best Picture in the Drama category, Best Director for Danny Boyle, Best Screenplay for Simon Beaufoy and Best Original Score in a Motion Picture for Composer A. R. Rahman.
Proving that it’s no longer the underdog, SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE also won five prizes at the LA Critics’ Choice Awards on Friday, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Writer, Best Composer and Best Young Actor for Dev Patel.
Released by Pathé in the UK on Friday, SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE currently sits at number two in the top ten, with the highest screen average of all films on release (£5640) and a total Box Office of £1,827,488 for its opening weekend.
